Photo Shoot in the Park
This weekend I had a photoshoot with my friends. We went to a park in an old neighborhood I used to live in and took pictures on all the playground equipment. It was kinda fun, I definitely enjoyed it and I like the turn out even better. So here's the pics!

Self Photographing
When I don't have models to help with the pictures, I just model all the clothes by myself. Which means setting up a camera and having to position it just right then setting the camera timer, running, posing, and then running back to make sure the picture is usable. Oh and make sure I don't look like I just crawled out of bed on top of that. It's kind of a lot of work! But I ordered a camera remote which should make it a lot easier. Anyways I've been kind of teaching myself photography and learning what looks good and what doesn't. I've also become kind of a pro at Photoshop which helps alot too. But I've picked up a few tips on the way.
These are from my little experiment yesterday (if you like the skirt, go here :) ). It took me a little while to get used to modeling, it's a lot harder than I thought! It takes a bit of testing to figure out if you tilt your head too much it looks like you have a mile long neck, haha. So here is me without a flash and no lights beside sunlight from the windows on either side of me.

This is me with a flash (my hair was wet and looked weird down), kind of washed out right?
So I made a "poor man's ring flash" and fixed that.
And then with a little Photoshopping I got this:
I'm pretty pleased with myself. This makes photographing clothes and stuff much more exciting now that I somewhat know what I'm doing!
Oh also some exciting news, I was featured in a treasury! Pink Bows anyone?? I love all the items in it really!
I made a facebook fan page for store! Here's a link if you want to friend me (:

I've been into the florals lately, so here are some flowery items from my shop!
Scrapbooking Obsession
I got a sudden urge to start a scrapbook for Eliza last week. So I did about 4 pages one night, 6 the next and I haven't touched it since! But here some of my pages (I just started so they're not that great but hey, atleast I tried). I like to believe they got better as I went but you can be the judge of that.

What I've been Up To!
Notice anything different??? I've changed up my layout! It took me forever to figure out how to do it but I kind of figured it out. Helpful Site- lot's of awesome tips!
I've also been crafting a little. I made a journal filled with magazine clippings of clothes to keep me inspired!

Here are a couple of pages I've done so far.
During the week I went out and bought a flask to carry around for the weekend. I wanted to decoupage it but decided against it because I didn't have the supplies to seal it. So I made a flask dress!
I also started scrapbooking a bit but I'll talk about that in another post. To close this post, I have a funny little picture. Eliza learned to take off her diaper last week so this was my dad's solution.
Duct tape! Haha, crazy old man (:

Summer Picture Story
The other day we had a few friends over
Eliza was so excited, she threw on my bathing suit top and these sunglasses that don't even fit her!
We cooked up some crinkle fries (only the best kind!)
and the boys grilled up some brats for themselves and hotdogs for us ladies.
As soon as the backdoor opened, Eliza made a run for the pool! So I scooped her up just in time for someone to take a snapshot!
Everybody wanted to play with her, so she got plenty of attention! I don't think there was a bored moment all day and with babies that's almost impossible.
Then we changed her into the proper attire and plopped her into her favorite floaty. She has a little obsession with sports balls and was chasing them around the pool all day.
While she was chasing soccer balls, I was filling up the waterballoons for the big waterballoon war we would have later that day. We ended up filling 3 coolers full!
After all the day's activities, it was time for a re-energizing snack.... but Eliza was so exhausted, she just ended up falling asleep in her high chair.
The day was quite a success, I can't wait for more summer adventures! Hope ya'll are having a good one!

Table Runner
Well I thought I was back? I'm sorry for the absence, it's been hectic around here. This short summer class is kicking my butt!
Anyways, I've been trying to come up with a summery idea for a table runner/centerpiece and I could not for the life of me find anything on Internet that satisfied me. So I just whipped up my own! It was super easy, I did it in about an hour and cheap, about $5! And I think it turned out pretty cute, so here's what I did.
Materials:
Fabric (I used muslin)
Scraps for end pieces and yo yo's
Scissors
Needle
Thread
Sewing machine
Serger (optional)
Hot glue gun and glue 1. Cut your main fabric piece. I cut mine to 47" x 13".
2. Cut your end pieces. I cut two little slivers of blue plaid to add a bit of color. I cut them to 3" x 13".
3. Sew end pieces to main piece right sides together.
4. Serge all four sides, this part is optional. You can sew binding on or just fold the edges over a little and stitch it up.
5. Make your yo-yo's. Here is an awesome tutorial. Tip: I sewed long stitches so that there wouldn't be a gap in the middle, so keep that in mind. You can also stick some buttons on top to add a little somethin' somethin'. 6. Arrange them as you wish. I had in mind a different arrangement but it didn't look the way I had pictured it so I tried something different. Here are a couple of options.
7. Glue those babies down! Make sure you get around the edges so they stay flat. I also put a tiny bit through the hole just so it sticks down.
8. Put on table and enjoy!P.S. Sorry for the crappy pics!
