Etsy Update

This is what's new this week! I went to Salvation Army yesterday and I'm very excited about my next batch of stuff, I'll post that later on. (: Happy thursday everyone!

Craft Space

I'm in the process of decorating my craft space. I need my own space in this house and the craft room is alllll mine! I can't believe it's taken me this long to decorate it but sometimes I just have to go with the flow because if I try to force it, things don't end well. And when I'm on a roll, it's hard to stop. So now I'm working on my craft space. I found alot of inspiration from the lovely Tiger Lilly Quinn.

I had an empty space and decided to make up a quick memo board. I wish I had a bunch of left over wine corks to make this but I just stuck with some foam board covered in fabric (tutorial).


All you need is:
foam board
ruler
exacto knife
fabric
stapler


Cut the foam board to the measurements you want.


Cut fabric to measurements (measurements of foam board plus like .75"-1" to each side for room to wrap around. It helps to iron it out before stapling on.


Lay fabric face down, place foam board on top and start with opposite sides to pull fabric evenly. Staple down.



Voila! You can add a ribbon to hang it from. I just made a little loop and stapled her down.


And then with inspiration from Little Miss Momma, I went out and bought some flat push pins and glued them to some randon nick nack's and buttons I had laying around to make thumb tacks.

Shoes Part 2

Things are looking up! I had a little meltdown last Saturday but also a long needed discussion with my boo. I just needed to stop, breathe a little bit and talk about things. So I went to wal-mart, bought a dry erase board with some day of the week magnets and Brandon and I sat down to make up a work schedule. I now work officially from 2-4 PM 4 days of the week. I feel like a real workin lady! Oh I also planned days for laundry and house cleaning! Funny how a little scheduling cleared up so many things for me, why didn't I think of this sooner?! But I have to admit that a little Sex and the City every week night helps too. (: Speaking of which, here's some more shoes! Enjoy!

Centerpiece/Jar Ideas

My table centerpiece had gone out of season and I needed some great summer Ideas. Here are some awesome tutorials/inspiration and at the bottom is what I did:

For my centerpiece: I got my idea from Country Living (number 16). Here is the original:

I dug up some jars from around the house, and wrapped them up.


I found this at a Goodwill today and couldn't resist it. I think it works perfectly with my centerpiece, I didn't have anything cool to put in it so I filled it with mints and topped it with a pine cone from the last centerpiece.


This is the finished product.


Here is something else that I put together today. Just a jar, filled with seasonal appropriate potpourri (I was going to put in pebbles but couldn't find ones that I liked) and this flower arrangement I bought from Pier 1 I believe.

Same Old, Same Old

I finished with last semester of school and have decided I'm going for an applied science degree in small business entrepreneurship.

I've been working every spare second I get (I've been selling some stuff!) but lately I've been really overwhelmed with stuff. I have a hard time balancing everything. I suppose I should set up a schedule but I can never stick to them.. I might just have to or this stress is going to be the death of me!

I've had a little family crisis with my troublesome little brother.

And I think I have anxiety? I've been sick for the past week so that might be just putting me on edge.

I've been kind of trying to make a bathing suit... I'll update more about that later.

Anywho here's some new stuff I'm going to put in my store.
