Centerpiece/Jar Ideas

My table centerpiece had gone out of season and I needed some great summer Ideas. Here are some awesome tutorials/inspiration and at the bottom is what I did:

Table Number Centerpiece

Easy Centerpieces

Mossy Masterpiece

Ultimate Cut Flowers

Kind of random but I like this Plate Display

For my centerpiece: I got my idea from Country Living (number 16). Here is the original:

And used this technique from Rocky Bella

I dug up some jars from around the house, and wrapped them up.

I found this at a Goodwill today and couldn't resist it. I think it works perfectly with my centerpiece, I didn't have anything cool to put in it so I filled it with mints and topped it with a pine cone from the last centerpiece.

This is the finished product.

Here is something else that I put together today. Just a jar, filled with seasonal appropriate potpourri (I was going to put in pebbles but couldn't find ones that I liked) and this flower arrangement I bought from Pier 1 I believe.

Hope you guys find these useful! Have a great Sunday!

Same Old, Same Old

I finished with last semester of school and have decided I'm going for an applied science degree in small business entrepreneurship.

I've been working every spare second I get (I've been selling some stuff!) but lately I've been really overwhelmed with stuff. I have a hard time balancing everything. I suppose I should set up a schedule but I can never stick to them.. I might just have to or this stress is going to be the death of me!

I've had a little family crisis with my troublesome little brother.

And I think I have anxiety? I've been sick for the past week so that might be just putting me on edge.

I've been kind of trying to make a bathing suit... I'll update more about that later.

Anywho here's some new stuff I'm going to put in my store.

Diy Laptop cover

I got a laptop for my birthday and need to make some sort of case for it. Here are some ideas:

Laptop Cozy

Fabric Laptop Cover

Laptop Sleeve

Laptop Bag

Quilted Laptop Bag

Quilted Laptop Sleeve

Coming Soon!

I've got my backdrop up and started modeling my own clothes! Now all I have to do is buy a remote so I don't have to run back to my camera every time I want to take another picture. I'm not sure about the backdrop though, what do you think? I like the consistant background but should I just do white or try something that's not striped? Also what about the lighting? Do I need more?

Anywho, here's a couple of new things (and some of my favorites):

Towel Rack Ideas

A while back I was having issues finding something to hang towels on, here are some of the things I found.

Rocky Plant Jars

I came up with this idea because I needed something to spruce up my bathroom and this just popped into my head.

Supplies:
jar

rocks

plant

water

1. Fill jar with rocks.

2. Put in plant.

3. Fill with water.

Ta Da! I also made some miny ones using baby jars and beads.

I had planted seeds so I transfered over the dirt as well and had the beads at the bottom for drainage.

hAIR

So for a while now I've been really frustrated with my hair. I've been trying to grow it out and it was just at a really annoying stage.

Then today we went to sally's and I saw some extensions so I started thinking of getting a few clip ons just for fun. So I was looking them up on the Internet and then I started looking for different techniques of cutting hair (I know, my mind did a little back flip). And I found this video of this girl cutting her hair. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for and what I needed so I had to try it out. I just couldn't wait!

Also here's another video on cutting/styling bangs.

I've started assembling parts for my backdrop! I think it's going to be cool (:

Sheet: Walmart, $3
Tissue Paper: Walmart, $1
PVC: Home Depot, probably around $5 for all of it
So all in all a backdrop under $10... NICE!

Oh I'm also downloading a trial version of bookkeeper (accounting program) to try it out. I'm excited (:
