Vintage Style turned Modern

It's funny how trends make a comeback like 10, 20, 50 years later. Not saying I don't like it, I think half my wardrobe is vintage. Here are some items (that I wish I owned), vintage style:

Urban Outfitters also has a whole vintage section here.

More pics of the photo shoot

I'm back! I had a great couple days of vacation/birthday. And I sold an item four days straight! This past photo shoot I think had a better turn out than last time! I was a bit more organized and it was easier to do compared to last time having no clue and being kind of scatter brained. I even got some bathing suit shots! Thanks to all my lovely models, I couldn't have done it without them! And I think I had cuter things this time. I feel like I'm finally creating somewhat of an identity to my store and I'm getting a feel for what people like/would wear.

So here are some more photos (the more colorful):

Body Scrub

In honor of Earth day, I'm going to post some eco diy ideas, such as homemade body scrub! Here are some Recipes I favored:

At Thrifty Fun there was a forum and here was one of the girl's face wash recipe:
sea salt
honey
olive oil
Captain Morgains Parrot Bay Coconut Rum

Bliss Tree
Supplies:
Sugar
Oil
Vanilla beans or extract
Organic lavender essential oil
Any old container with a lid

There's a whole list at Craft Bits but here is my fav.

Mango body Scrub
1 mango chopped
1/4 cup Instant oats
1 cup of castor sugar
1 tbs sweet almond oil
4 drops orange essential oil
1 tbs pineapple juice

Best in Cosmetics
Tomato Wrap Recipe
tomatoes
rice
Homemade Orange and Lemon Peel Body Scrub Recipe
dried peel powder(they explain what this is)
wheat bran or porridge grains
honey
and a little milk

DIY Life
What you'll need

Table salt
Oil - recipe calls for olive oil but I used grape seed oil
small container

Also she has a little secret for stretch marks, visit her page to find out what it is!

The Creative Mama
Ingredients
sugar / epsom salt
grape seed oil
essential oil(s)
food coloring (if desired)
mixing bowl
spoon

Martha Stewert

Tools and Materials
2 cups Epsom salts or organic cane sugar
1 cup carrier oil
8 drops essential oil(s)
1 drop food coloring
Special equipment: plastic pipette, canning jars

I basically figured out you need something for texture (rice, salt, sugar), oil (vegetable, olive, grape seed etc), and something for smell. those are the three base ingredients. Well Happy Earth Day! Here is a little preview of my newest items to be listed.

This is the bigger picture, ignore the ugly walls. I'm going to paint them, eventually.

This is my start to makeover this room. It's still has a way to go, but I think I'm makin some headway!
